Advanced Clinician Scientist Programme with a funding period of 24 months
The German Foundation for Dermatology is inviting applications for two-year training posts as Advanced Clinician Scientists in dermatology. The call for applications is being organised under the auspices and with the support of the German Dermatological Society (DDG) and the Working Group for Dermatological Research (ADF).
The programme offers committed doctors the opportunity to combine clinical work with research over a period of two years (usually 50 per cent research and 50 per cent clinical work).
The funding amount for an Advanced Clinician Scientist is 63,000 euros per year (including in-kind funding and conference attendance). It is intended to cover 50 per cent of the costs of the ‘Advanced Clinician Scientist’ post (in accordance with the Marburger Bund collective agreement for doctors, taking personal circumstances into account) for the funding period.
Eligible applicants are those who meet the following criteria:
- Specialists in dermatology and venereology who hold a PhD,
- employed at a university dermatology department in Germany,
- with a proven track record of scientific activity in dermatological research,
- and a scientifically sound and promising project outline.
